Juniors make it to finals

THE LINES HAVE BEEN DRAWN as the third night of the Barbados Badminton Association Junior National Championship saw the juniors dig deep to secure their places in the Finals to be held Sunday afternoon at the Wildey Gymnasium.

Shae Martin led the charge to book spots in all categories to the Under-17 and Under-19 divisions with impressive wins over his opponents, with his long standing doubles partner, Amanda Haywood doing likewise.

Martin’s strongest competition in the singles will come from the young emerging talent Keshem Moore, who is also his doubles partner.

Throughout the tournament, Moore has been steady, but Thursday night proved that he is ready and capable of challenging the best with a nail-biting victory over Jehu Gaskin 21-18, 25-23. (PR)
