THE TERROR-FILLED SCREAMS piercing the early morning last year alerted Haggatt Hall, St Michael residents that someone was desperately in need help.

It was Marva Ward suffering a brutal attack by a man whom she had loved for many years.

The attack left the 36-year-old with cutlass wounds about her body and at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for several weeks.

Today, as her physical scars heal and she tries to move forward from that experience, the mother of two is on a mission to become a campaigner against domestic abuse.
