‘It’s taking too long’

THE FAMILY OF Selwyn Knight wants answers.

“I want to ask him why he killed my husband?” the words of Knight’s widow, Marleen Knight, who has been questioning the delay with the police investigation into the death of her partner of over 25 years.

“I feel this thing is taking too long. I wonder if it was anybody else if it would take that long,” says son Junior Jamar Knight, who was accompanying his father during the chase of a burglar when he was shot and killed by off-duty Constable Everton Gittens one month ago today.

Knight, a retired port worker familiarly known as “Blues”, met his untimely ending in Dash Gap, Bank Hall, St Michael.

The Sunday morning tragedy of March 15 has left the Knights with an agonising wait for the outcome of the police investigation.
