Blackbirds demolish Dames

UWI Blackbirds solidified their position in the top four of the Digicel Premier League with a 5-1 caning of Notre Dame on Tuesday night at the Wildey AstroTurf.

After a circumspect start to the season, the UWI Blackbirds are beginning to spread their wings as they have convinced themselves that they have the pedigree to be more than ordinary bystanders in the big league.

The difference can be seen in their body language on the field, the presence they have on the ball and the stiff challenge they present to opposing teams – all so different from their first, nervous steps at the beginning.
