ATTORNEYS FOUND BY THE COURT to have breached the Legal Profession Act, particularly the code of ethics, must be prepared to face the full consequences of their actions.

So said president of the Bar Association, Tariq Khan, yesterday, when the Saturday Sun contacted him about the Court of Appeal’s disbarment of lawyer Therold Fields on Wednesday.

“The Court of Appeal acted in accordance with the law and they made a decision based on the facts before them and brought finality to the issue,” Khan said.

He explained that the disciplinary committee usually examines a case when a complaint is made, takes evidence and then makes recommendations to the appeal court.
