THE WATERFRONT Café is up for sale.

And under the present management, the waterside restaurant will close on May 23.

After 31 years operating the City restaurant that borders the historic Careenage, owner Susan Walcott told the MIDWEEK NATION she was retiring and had put the business on the market.

“I have it up for sale, selling as a going concern. It is a leased property. They [the potential owners] will be getting a restaurant with a strong reputation and equipment. We’ve got quite a lot of goodwill and this is an established business with a lot of repeat clientele,” said the managing director.
