THE HARBOUR MASTER has launched a full investigation into the sinking of a pleasure boat with more than 45 people on board off the Bridgetown Fisheries Complex in the early hours of yesterday.

Moreover, Richard Alleyne told the DAILY NATION last night that there was no specific certification of people who captained and manned the popular catamarans and this needed to be addressed urgently.

The Boyceterous Catamaran Cruises vessel reportedly experienced engine failure and then quickly took on water as it was being towed back to safety by Coast Guard vessel HMBS Excellence. (GE)
