BREA official: Green sector needs boost
ALTERNATIVE ENERGY ADVOCATE Clyde Griffith hopes Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler will announce measures to bolster the renewable energy sector.
Griffith, executive director of the Barbados Renewable Energy Association (BREA), told the DAILY NATION: “We need some resource support for the alternative energy sector with a view to moving it beyond a sector to an industry.”
However, Griffith said some efforts must be made to address problems in the sector, including the quality of some items imported for power generating systems.
“Some imports now are deemed unsuitable and will cause problems for people in future years because they are inferior.” (TY)
