A 64-YEAR-OLD Barbadian businessman was remanded until May 26 after pleading guilty to cocaine-related charged.
Philip Peter Joseph Decle of Maxwell Coast Road, Christ Church appeared at the District B Court today and pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
Two packages containing 0.8 kilos of cocaine were found taped to Decle’s body on Sunday when he was searched by Customs officials after arriving at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
Decle will be sentenced when he returns to court.
Meanwhile, Jamaican Kevon Anthony Higgins was sentenced to 18 months each on charges of possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis after pleading guilty when he appeared in court.
He was convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the charge of possession.
The 28-year-old labourer arrived in Barbados on April 19 and later passed out 178 packages containing cannabis at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. (PR/SAT)
