A SIDE-BY-SIDE SuperSpecial at Bushy Park will bring the curtain down on Sol Rally Barbados this year.

It will contested on the Race of Champions parallel track designed for the purpose of side-by-side racing.

Rally chairman Mark Hamilton said that along with a change of service location, which will now be at Simpson Motors, and the chance to use the ROC parallel track for its designed purpose was too good to miss, and offered something they would not have been able to do at Vaucluse Raceway within the time frame, as it would have been configured for stage use earlier in the day.

“Infrastructure costs are already incurred for the Friday night start, when we cannot use the ROC track side-by-side within the timing structure of the event,” Hamilton said.
