Little hands of talent
CHILDREN ATTENDING the Child Care Board’s Bagatelle, St Thomas day nursery were all excited as they showed off their work, displayed under the theme Things That Move, to visitors yesterday.
The nursery, catering to 24 babies and an equal number of pre-schoolers between three months to four years, started a one-week programme yesterday to showcase the work done at the school to parents and the public. It is part of the Child Care Board’s activities for Child Month.
Assistant supervisor Pamela Kellman said the programmes and care offered at the nurseries were “exceptional”, and that there was an approximate two-year waiting list.
She said most of the children learnt all the basics to take them into primary school. They include numbers, letters and social graces like sharing, taking turns and helping each other. (LK)
