BC TRAC won the boys and High Performance Programme (HPP) took the girls division in the World Athletics Day meet at the National Stadium yesterday.

The boys of BC Trac amassed 160 points followed by High Performance with 133, St Leonard’s Boys’ 83 and Alleyne 43.

HPP ran away with the girls title with 162 points, beating Alleyne into second with 90, Rising Stars 86 and BC Trac 82.

Despite being a team event, some of the better known juniors still took centre stage.

High Performance’s Akayla Morris, who just missed out on making the CARIFTA team to St Kitts because she was too young, won the 50 metres dash in 6.93 seconds. (AT)
