Boyce not ‘deaf’ to nurses cries

MINISTER OF HEALTH John Boyce says he has not turned a “deaf ear” to pay, appointment and other concerns raised by the Barbados Nurses’ Association (BNA).

He was reacting to comments made by president of the association Blondelle Mullin yesterday during a seminar for nurses at Hilton Barbados.

Mullin had said the BNA was “frustrated that our lobbying seems to be falling on deaf ears, but we will continue to push for better conditions for our nurses”.

According to her, the BNA had been lobbying to get Government to address “several issues and concerns of our members”.
