Woman on drug charges remanded

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman was remanded until Tuesday when she appeared in court today to face drug charges.

Jamaican Danielle Cole was not required to plead to charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis at the District A Magistrates Court today.

According to police reports, when Cole arrived at the Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday, she was interviewed by Police and referred to Customs.

A search of her luggage revealed five packages containing cannabis concealed in a false compartment. The packages weighed four pounds.

She is scheduled to reappear at the District B Magistrates Court on Tuesday. (PR/SAT)
