HOSPITAL and other essential services will get their garbage collected over the next five days.
But should private waste haulers not get a meeting with Ministry of the Environment officials in that time or shortly afterwards, they are prepared to step up their protest action.
“If there is no meeting then we need to employ the next set of tactics,” said Charles Read, spokesman for the Waste Haulers Group, while refusing to divulge what that action might be.
“But let’s not use language that may be construed as threatening because it’s not about that,” he added.
