Bajans ‘need a boost’

BARBADOS NEEDS a boost in confidence.

Anglican Bishop Dr John Holder made the point during his charge on Sunday at the start of the church’s annual Synod. It began with a Eucharistic service at St Michael’s Cathedral and is now into its business session.

He said that at this critical time, “when the items of good news seem to be in danger of being overwhelmed by news that highlights the negatives instead of positives, when the news is of downgrades, violence and illegal drugs, of strikes and protests and much more, we need as a nation a boost in confidence”.
