Jones sees scope for schools talent

HIGH-LEVEL DISCUSSIONS may soon be under way to see how the country can benefit from the talents of its young people.

Following a tour of the schools’ exhibits on the final day of the Barbados Manufacturers’ Exhibition (BMEX) at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre yesterday, Minister of Education Ronald Jones said he would have to meet with Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to see how they could tap into resources to help school-leavers, who were doing creative things with indigenous products.

Noting that funding was always an issue, Jones said they would be looking to see how they could assist the youngsters to expand their potential by way of loan and grant funding.
