Police officer stabbed in The City

A POLICE OFFICER was stabbed tonight in The City.

Reports indicate the male officer received stab wounds to the upper part of the body during an apparent robbery attempt.

He has been hospitalised in serious condition and is scheduled to undergo surgery.

Investigations are continuing into the incident. (AC)
