Low scores in T20 today

ALTHOUGH THERE WERE eight half centuries, no team scored more than 150 runs as the fifth round of the Sagicor General T20 Cricket Competition was played today at various venues across Barbados.

Brathwaite Construction St Catherine had a largest chase of the day, scoring 144 for two in 18.4 overs to beat CounterPoint Wanderers by eight wickets at Dayrells Road. Wanderers scored 141 for eight in their 20 overs.

At least five teams were bowled out for less than 100 runs.

Pacer Tino Best was the pick of the bowlers, with six wickets for six runs as ESA Field Pickwick beat BDFSP by 51 runs.

LIME 15-0. LIME won in Super Over.

At Desmond Haynes Oval: Sagicor UWI 139 for six in 20 overs (Cameron Pennyfeather 60, Kavem Hodge 18, Floyd Reifer 17, Chadwick Walton 11; Kyle Mayers 2-21, Renaldo Holder 2-30). Lee’s Bistro Carlton 129 for eight in 20 overs (Carlo Morris 72, Renaldo Holder 16, Lee-Germon Gaskin 14; Kavem Hodge 3-9). UWI won by ten runs.  

At Bank Hall: Massy Stores Spartan 131 for eight in 20 overs (Rashidi Boucher 60, (3x4s, 7x3s), Nicholas Carter 26 n.o.; Jomel Warrican 2-19, Lamar Mascoll 2-22). ICBL Empire 111 for seven in 20 overs (Kevin Stoute 36, Shaquille Cumberbatch 14, Kodi Phillips 13, Roston Chase 10; Chaim Holder 3-26, Chad Williams 2-25). Spartan won by 20 runs.

 

At Dayrells Road: CounterPoint Wanderers 141 for eight in 20 overs (Raymon Reifer 56, Jason Greene 31, Fanie de Villiers 23; U. Batson 3-21). Brathwaite Construction St Catherine 144 for two in 18.4 overs (Mario Rampersaud 59 n.o., Omar Phillips 45, K. Williams 23 n.o.; Shakeem Clarke 2-18). St Catherine won by eight wickets.

At Pine Basin: Ince Transport MTW 97 for eight in 20 overs (Kevin Gittens 17, Raymond Kellman 15; Ryan Layne 2-18, Jamar Layne 2-20). IGS Insurance Brokers Yorkshire 100 for one in 15.4 overs (Akeem Nero 41, Adrian Connell 39 n.o.). Yorkshire won by nine wickets.

At Trents: Massy United Insurance Wildey 82 for six in 20 (K. Hurdle 39, D. Carter 15; J. Leacock 2-10). Maple 83 for one in 9.2 overs (S. Parris 44 n.o. (43 balls), S. Ramsay 10). Maple won by nine wickets.

At College “A”: Guardian General Barbados Youth 120 for five in 20 overs (Nico Reifer 41, Zachary McCaskie 28, Khalil Herbert 25; Daniel Jordan 3-20, Dave Clarke 2-20). BRC Electronics on Edge BCL 69 in 14 overs (Dave Lovell 12, Davon Goodman 11; Kareem Drakes 5-29, Joshua Bishop 2-1). Barbados Youth won by 51 runs.
