THEāINVESTIGATION into the death of 12-year-old Shemar Weekes now seems set to be completed by coroner Manila Renee.
While officials declined to reveal the findings of visiting forensic pathologist Dr Sainagendra Prasad Kadiyala, who completed a post-mortem yesterday, well-placed sources said last night it was determined that death was caused by strangulation.
This, they added, was consistent with the findings of pathologist Dr David Gaskin, who conducted an initial examination of the body on May 19.
What a coronorās enquiry would do, if one is held, is try to ascertain the circumstances that led to that strangulation and whether anyone was criminally liable, the source explained.
