New goalie for senior team

BARBADOS will have a new overseas-based goalkeeper for the national senior team’s second round World Cup qualifying football tie against Aruba on Wednesday.

Keasel Broome, 23, who has Barbadian roots and recently signed for New York Cosmos in the United States’ Major League Soccer (MLS), arrived in the country earlier this week and had a couple of training sessions with the national squad.

Broome has also played club soccer for FC Delco and KSC Nemesis as well as Caraval Academy and San Jose Earthquakes.
