THE USUAL excitement of the Springer Memorial Secondary School was reduced to a solemn tone yesterday as students and staff gathered to pray for the swift recovery of a number of students involved in Tuesday’s ZR accident.
Several pupils were believed to be travelling on ZR 125 when it overturned along Nursery Drive, The City, creating a mass casualty response from members of the emergency services.
Twenty-two people were injured, with 14-year-old Springer student Zakiyah Defreitas among the worst with a crushed hand.
