Bajan lasses lose to Bahamas

TERRY INNISS believes his girls have no reason to hold their heads down.

The head coach of Barbados’ women’s team believes that Thursday’s 57-53 semi-final loss to The Bahamas at the Caribbean Basketball Confederation’s Championships in Tortola may be heart-breaking but certainly not shameful.

He said he never felt more proud to be Bajan.

“I’m really so proud of the effort these ladies have put in because everyone is banged up, taken their knocks and yet they still leave it on the floor every night,” said Inniss.
