Boatyard conflict getting hotter

THE CONFLICT between the Boatyard Beach Club and nearby water sport operators appears not to be abating.

The latest spat came yesterday when operator Jamal Lambert complained that the club was telling its customers not to do business with them following the operators’ decision to hire a lawyer.

“[David] Comissiong represented us and it was made [clear] to Mr [Sean] DeFreitas [the owner] that there were about 15 lawsuits we could file against him because of the wording on his signs [telling people not to do business with the water sport operators]. This was during a meeting with him, us, the police, and the National Conservation Commission about four months ago.
