TWO ST MICHAEL men who appeared in court today on drug-related charges have been granted bail.

Forty-year-old Ricardo Mcalester Waldron of Princess Royal Ave, Pinelands faced charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking, importation and conspiracy to traffic.

Police also arrested and charged Tito Mardonna O’Neil Barrow, 28, of Bottom Close, Wildey with the offence of conspiracy to traffic cannabis in relation to the same matter.

Police say Waldron arrived by air from Miami on June 11.   During an examination of his suitcase by Customs officials, eight packages containing the drug were reportedly discovered in his suitcase. The cannabis weighed 6.6 pounds.

Further investigations led to Barrow being interviewed in respect of the matter.

When the two appeared in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court,  Waldron pleaded guilty to his charges while Barrow pleaded not guilty.

Waldron will return to court on June 18 pending a pre-sentencing report while Barrow will return on August 26. (PR/NB)
