Hinds gets nod

OUT OF favour Barbados all-rounder Ryan Hinds found favour with the Guyana Jaguars in the Professional Cricket League (PCL) Players Draft held at Accra Beach Resort yesterday, but discarded West Indies pacers Tino Best  and Fidel Edwards failed to get a look in.

Hinds was the last pick by the defending champions as the various franchises were given the opportunity to complete their full list of 15 players.

“If you look at the calibre players on the list, I think he’s one of the better players so I was happy to pick him,” Jaguars’ chief selector Rayon Griffith said as he explained the rationale for choosing the former West Indies player.
