Sharma looking forward to talks

COMMONWEALTH SECRETARY GENERAL Kamalesh Sharma is looking forward to high-level talks with key players during his brief visit to Barbados.

Sharma arrived on Tuesday night to attend the CARICOM Heads of Government Conference, which will be held here over the next few days. He was accompanied by communications officer Natricia Duncan, head of office (secretary general) Simon Gimson and head of section (Caribbean Political Division) Albert Mariner.

The secretary general said he was particularly looking forward to meeting with Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave, Prime Minister Freundel Stuart and Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Maxine McClean “to see what is it that together in partnership, bilaterally, what further work can be done between the larger Commonwealth family and Barbados”.
