THERE IS still no stopping Julian “Michael Jackson” White on the local road tennis courts.

White will be defending his National Cultural Foundation’s Crop Over road tennis crown when the finals are staged on Sunday night at the Deighton “Pa” Roach Tennis Centre in Bush Hall, St Michael.

White, who has a tally of 41 national titles in the indigenous sport, will battle the enigmatic playing style of Michael Jean after both players qualified in contrasting fashion on Wednesday night.

Jean easily dispatched Lester Vaughan schoolboy Keon Murrell 21-16, 21-11 while White (top) had to play his A game and produce shots like this forehand return to stop Curtis Jones 21-10, 18-21, 21-12. (Picture by Kenmore Bynoe.)
