‘Supa’ does the job for Sonics

URBAN VYBZ ST JOHN’S SONICS finally got their man at point guard.

No, not Andre Lockhart. The other former Laker.

Akeem “Supa” Williams didn’t score much, but he improved his new team’s offence, leading a transition-based attack to Tuesday’s 73-68 win over defending champs Orange 3 Pinelands in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League at the Wildey Gym.

It wasn’t exactly the man they were pursuing, as Sonics were hoping to land the now Warrens-based Lockhart to fill their ever gaping hole at the point guard position.
