Sweet music to pan-tasise about

I WISH I WAS AS LUCKY as Prime Minister Freundel Stuart to be rocked to sleep by the sweet sounds of pan and the melodic music of soca.

Ilaro Court, the official residence of the PM, was the venue of the First Citizens Pan Fusion held on Friday night and finishing minutes after one on Saturday morning.

Since the PM took in some of the event before retiring to his suite yards away, I am sure he didn’t mind the raucous sing-alongs and the overexuberant dancing when the clock hit 1 a.m. and those remaining didn’t show any signs of wanting to leave.

Billed Battle Of The Sexes, the “fight card” had on local and international artistes who were “competing” to see who could thrill the crowd that took up space on the hillside and lawn of Ilaro Court. But it wasn’t really a battle as each set was done and received differently.
