Police sound road caution

That warning to drivers has come from the police as the force responded to several serious accidents over the weekend.

The latest crash yesterday morning left 47-year-old Keith Gooding, of Ellerton, St George, fighting for his life after he was rushed to surgery. He had complained of head and stomach injuries when the SUV he was driving and a truck driven by 28-year-old Jason Smith of Storey Gap, Codrington Hill, St Michael, collided near the Clyde Walcott Roundabout on the ABC Highway.

As the pace of partying intensifies for the Crop Over Festival and the numbers on the road increase, Assistant Superintendent of Police David Welch is pleading with motorists to be more careful in moving around. (AC)
