Little drummer boy steals the show
MUSICAL EXCELLENCE was on display at Frank Collymore Hall on Saturday night as Notes of Praise Music School held its annual showcase.
Now in its 12th year, more than 80 aspiring artistes gave rousing individual performances before a packed and appreciative audience.
Students ranging in age from four to 60-plus showed off their abilities in singing, drumming, guitar, piano, steelpan and on keyboard.
Some top performances included Petra Welch’s arrangement of Glory Glory Lord, with Samuel Greenidge and Michaiah McCallister on drums, Jonathan Belgrave on the djembe, Jewel Morris on bass, Ayodeji Oredein and Tristan Dowridge on keyboards, and Daniel Deane and Joshua Small on steel pan.
