Coach proud of team’s showing

Head coach Thomas Jordan has hailed the Barbados team for finishing second behind unbeaten Group 4 winners Jamaica in the Caribbean Football Union’s Women Under-17 Qualifiers in Suriname over the past week.

After losing 2-1 to Jamaica in their opening game last Wednesday, Barbados rebounded to defeat host country Suriname 2-1 on Friday and St Lucia 3-0 on Sunday to advance to the final round of CFU qualifying, in Puerto Rico, November 13-16.

Jordan said he was extremely proud of the overall effort from the girls and the progress they have made over the past year.
