CUSTOMS OFFICERS continued to withhold their labour yesterday in protest over option forms being presented to them to indicate whether or not they want to join the Barbados Revenue Authority.

General secretary of the Unity Workers’ Union, Caswell Franklyn, and president of the National Union of Public Workers, Akanni McDowall, called for the letters to be withdrawn until after negotiations have been finalised.

McDowall said they planned to meet with members later this week to discuss the issue.

However, Franklyn told the DAILY NATION yesterday he was due to meet with workers represented by his union last night to discuss the ongoing situation.
