THE SENIOR national netball team has been facing heavy criticism of late for their performances on the court at away tours but Barbados Netball Association (BNA)  President Nisha Craigwell believes that criticism is unwarranted.

Barbados is currently ranked ninth in the world, out of the over 80 countries that play international netball, and Craigwell called this a major achievement.

She noted that the players all have other commitments and do not have access to many of the resources that other top ranked nations have at their disposal.

She told WEEKEND SPORT that just getting to the Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia had been a major challenge as they were unable to secure a sponsor.
