Man held in connection with drugs at Port
A MAN IS SCHEDULED to appear in court tomorrow, charged in connection with the discovery of cannabis in a shipment at the Bridgetown Port.
Adrian McDonald Marville, 41 years, of Hawkins Gap, Westbury Road, St Michael was charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis.
On Friday, Marville went to the Bridgetown Port to clear cargo, which included buckets of joint compound.
A search of the consignment by Customs Enforcement Officers discovered 16 taped packages containing cannabis weighing 25.3 pounds, concealed in 14 buckets of the joint compound.
Marville was then detained pending further investigations. He is to appear at the District A Magistrates Court. (PR/SAT)
