ALTAR CALL: God ‘always comes through’

WHEN WE HONOUR GOD He always comes through for us, even when it appears as though the odds are against us.

In essence, Minister Danny Grant recently told the congregation at Voice To The Nations Ministries International that God could be trusted to bring His children through any ordeal in their lives.

This message of assurance was shared as Grant preached on the fiery furnace experience of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego as recorded in Daniel 1: 1-20.

In a clearly outlined sermon that was passionately delivered, Grant said that the faithfulness and commitment of the three Hebrew boys to their God brilliantly paid off as it led to the Babylonians experiencing God’s awesome glory and to the promotion of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

He also told his listeners during the foot-washing service that even though God might allow His children to go through the fire, He would be there with them just as He was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Grant described the fiery experience and captivity of Judah as God’s divine plan.

He added that the decision by Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego not to bow down and worship the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar as commanded by the king, also showed that the Hebrew boys were willing to give their lives for what they believed.

He said anyone who was so willing to obey God’s commandment not to worship or bow down to other gods ought to be emulated.

Grant stressed that believers should never compromise or deny God when they faced difficult circumstances, but they should trust Him in every situation.

God’s purpose to reveal Himself as the true God to Nebuchadnezzar and the people of Babylon by delivering Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the fiery furnace, which later killed the very soldiers who placed them there, was nothing short of a miracle, the minister said.

He added that while God’s plans and purposes were not always seen when we go through difficult situations, His plans would always be fulfilled according to His will.

Grant further noted that the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego clearly showed God – the Creator of the earth – as the only true and living God; one who was reliable, dependable, faithful, and trustworthy.

In addition to each person who was present having their feet washed by the church’s pastor, special prayers were also rendered during the service on behalf of those faced with physical challenges.
