Bajans earn Fulbright scholarships

TWO BARBADIANS are among this year’s Fulbright Scholarship winners.

The United States Embassy announced on Monday that Vincentian Kimberley Cambridge and Barbadian Charlene James will be travelling as Fulbright foreign students, and Barbadian Samuel Soyer will be a Fulbright scholar in residence. They will have their graduate-level studies funded by the US government.

James, who was an associate in client relations at Caribbean Risk Managers Ltd in Barbados, will attend University of Wisconsin-Madison to pursue an MBA in risk management and insurance.

Cambridge, who recently completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of the West Indies (UWI), will attend Southern Illinois University of Carbondale to earn a master’s in rehabilitative counselling.
