Reggae show to hit road next month

FOR UMPTEEN YEARS, known and unknown Bajan reggae acts have called for greater avenues to display their craft and the opportunity is finally here.

Through the vision of musicians Randy Eastmond, Kevin Watson and Ramon Eastmond, 100 per cent home-grown music will be highlighted when the free Bajan Green Reggae Roadshow is staged at the Glebe pasture, St George, on September 4.

What’s more, co-producer Randy Eastmond said it would not be a one-off, as Bajan Green was the first among a series of five planned for this year for local reggae artistes.

Addressing artistes and sponsors at the official launch at the Blue Horizon hotel, Rockley, Christ Church on Wednesday night, Eastmond promised a line-up of the highest calibre of artistes who portray positive images in society and are also responsible lyricists.
