Garner is BCA president again

JOEL GARNER has been voted back in for a third term as president of the Barbados Cricket Association.

He defeated Conde Riley 127 to 101 when the Association held its elections at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre today.

Also joining Garner for another term is Deighton Smith who retained his position as first vice president. He defeated Calvin Hope 121 to 109.

Maurice Gaskin also returned as second vice president while Anthea Ishmael defeated Jeff Broomes 104-91 to retain her position as secretary. Erskine King was voted in as the third vice president with 77 votes while Hope captured 75 votes; Pat Greenidge won 29 votes, Keith Simmons 21 votes while there were six spoilt votes. (PG)
