HEALING HERBS: We must stay away from bitterness

I ONCE SUFFERED from bitterness. It nearly caused me to be on the ice with some of the dearly departed at Waithe’s Funeral Home.

The source of my bitterness was being rejected for a promotion. Boy, I telephoned everyone complaining and had my family on the phone 24/7 while I cried.

Consequently, this bitterness affected me and caused fainting spells, weight loss and other emotional triggers.

On the website www.charminghealth.com, it reads: “Too easily we become bitter. The thing with bitterness or resentment is, it takes control, and it consumes and robs us. Bitterness is more than a negative outlook on life. It is a destructive and self-destructive power. It can be physically as well as emotionally debilitating.”

It adds: “Persistent bitterness and resentment makes one angry and confused, and leads oneself deeper and deeper into a jungle of despair.”

I am warning readers of this column to stay away from bitterness and seek forgiveness instead. If you are bitter or know anyone who is bitterness, it must be addressed with speed and dedication to self.

Broken marriages, all forms of abuse, sexual dysfunction, grudges and other related factors can cause bitterness. You know you are bitter when you feel deep hate and anger towards others and you cannot sleep because vengeance is on your mind.

Back then, I had bad dreams about the entire interview panel. However, I know everyone may be wondering but how did Maynard-Watson heal from this bitterness?

Healing bitterness commences with awareness, acceptance and wisdom. The penning of this article continues my healing. I also did intensive herbal research coupled with reiki treatments.

Additionally, I got extremely close to the Creator and asked for more awareness of who I am and my purpose for being on this planet. I also expanded my awareness beyond being rejected for the job promotion and instead focused on self-promotion and silent doctors. I am still benefiting from self-promotion and freedom.

Furthermore, I drank teas to purge negative energy from my system. Nettle worked for me and blue vervain. I ate fresh parsley and walked the beach while creating positive thoughts which yield positive results.

Finally, I fully realised that my bitterness and anger were slowly transformed into understanding and trust.

I also consciously appreciated that working on myself to expel bitterness caused a serious shift in my thought pattern and caused some very positive things to magnetically attach themselves to me. Moreover, spiritual peace caused alignment with the following manifestation: “The only one who can promote or reject me . . . is me.”
