Crew members charged with drug offences

TWO CREW MEMBERS of  MV Sandra, a cargo vessel from Guyana, were arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine and cannabis.

They are Coco Ibert Prophett, a 29-year-old cook and 42-year-old sailor Paul Fraser.

Last Thursday, members of the Drug Squad, Coast Guard and Customs Enforcement conducted a search aboard the MV Lady Sandra, which was berthed at the Bridgetown Port. 

They discovered 14.5 kilos of cocaine and 2 kilos of cannabis.

Prophett and Fraser have been jointly charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking an importation of cannabis. They are also facing similar charges for cocaine. (PR)
