Bushy Park ‘on right track’
HUNDREDS OF CAR RACING FANS braved intermittent showers yesterday to take in the exciting action of the Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championships at Bushy Park, St Philip.
According to some of the regular Bushy Park patrons, yesterday’s crowd was the biggest at the venue since it was redeveloped.
Well-known rally driver Harold “Doc” Morley, who was taking in the action from the comfort of the clubhouse, described the new Bushy Park as very professional.
“They’ve looked around the world, they’ve seen the standards of other countries and they have tried to emulate them and I think they did a very good job of doing that. It is very hard to balance the rule, regulations and safety standards with the casualness that you have in the Caribbean.” (PG)
