SOME employers are failing to give dismissed workers statements of their employment particulars, Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer said yesterday.
Byer added that some employers seemed to be of the view that the statements were optional, but under the law all workers needed to have them.
“I do have a concern, in particular that of the requirement under the legislation for all workers to be given statements of particulars by their employers,” the minister said while speaking on the Employment Rights Act.
