Squads announced for Rally Round Dominica Charity Match

THE REGION’S TOP TWO female cricketers will join past and present West Indies’ players on Saturday for the “Rally Round Dominica” charity match Saturday.

Newly appointed Women’s captain Stafanie Taylor and Deandra Dottin have been included on opposite teams for the match which starts at 7 p.m. at Kensington Oval.

Former Trinidad and Tobago and Manchester United player Dwight Yorke is also listed, as well as Olympic gold medallist Yohan Blake, batting great Brian Lara, bowling great Sir Curtly Ambrose and Sir Hilary Beckles of the University of the West Indies. deandradottinpulling4

The Twenty20 match will pit the University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor’s Celebrity XI against the West Indies Cricket Board President’s Celebrity XI.

All proceeds will be going directly to the Dominica Government to assist with recovery efforts on the island which suffered severe damage to property and loss of life from the passage of Tropical Storm Erika.
