REGIONAL YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP is soaring to new heights.

Earlier today, the Caribbean Youth Entrepreneurship Summit got underway at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Hastings, with attendees from across the region.

In addressing the audience, Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture Stephen Lashley said: “Thinking as a region is not enough, but we must also be proactive. Once we invest our collective resources, the networks we create will generate a high return for Caribbean people.”

United States Ambassador Dr Larry Palmer, who was also in attendance, encouraged the entrepreneurs to take risks and work hard, alluding to the fact that entrepreneurship creates jobs where there were none. (MR)
