Three earthquakes to northeast of Bridgetown

THREE EARTHQUAKES WERE recorded to the northeast of Bridgetown this morning.

At 5 a.m. the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre recorded a 3.8 magnitude tremor 123 kilometres off Barbados’ capital. It occurred at Latitude 13.76N and Longitude 58.71W at a depth of 70 km.

The second tremor, one of 4.5 magnitude, occurred at 5:28 some 136 km off Bridgetown. It was located on Latitude 13.75N and Latitude 58.56W at a depth of 82 km.

At 8:36 a 3.9 magnitude quake occurred 130 km northeast of Bridgetown at Latitude 13.78N and Longitude 58.65W at a depth of 64 km. (NB)
