Man held in connection with gun

AS POLICE CONTINUE their investigations to determine the authenticity of a number of photos circulating on social media portraying young women displaying firearms, one firearm has been recovered and a man arrested and charged.

Petrice Jamar Jermaine Merritt, 26, of Parish Land, Christ Church  was held on Wednesday and charged with unlawful possession.

When Merritt appeared before the acting Chief Magistrate at the District ‘C’ Magistrate Court, he was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds and is scheduled to reappear in court on October 15. (PR/SAT)
