The men’s leaders Flow Deacons moved nine points clear of the defending champions Chargers, who  are on 21 points after defeating Cawmere 25-19, 25-22, 25-23. Cawmere remain  in the Division 1 dungeon with  a meagre three points.

Foundation United, who won their only game of the league by beating Cawmere last time out, were dismissed by the Juniors 25-16, 25-21, 26-28, 25-17. Even without Stapleton, who sat out the Juniors match, Foundation’s sole achievement was to take just one set.
