THE INAUGURAL Barbados Football Association Futsal Fiesta Challenge kicked off yesterday at the Wildey Gymnasium with 21 teams vying for honours.

The five girls’ teams are competing for cash awards while the seven Under-15 and nine Under-17 boys’ teams are battling for silverware.

Here, Empire’s Nekoda Carrington (left) couldn’t wait to get in on the action, firing this shot at Pinelands’ custodian Jayden Blanche during the early preliminary rounds. (Kenmore Bynoe.)
